Chlorine is widely used to treat water, 
but has many disadvantages

Chlorine strips hair and skin of natural oils, leaving both dry and cracked. When it reacts with organic compounds in the water, it will result in toxic gas and many other harmful byproducts, causing irritations of the skin and respiratory tract.

Crystasan products come with no such disadvantages, breaking down to just water and oxygen. No harmful substances are released. Suitable for children, asthma sufferers and those prone to sensitive skin.

Crystasan products are effective at removing BIOFILM, the slimy matrix of bacteria that builds up in the pipework, filters and surfaces of warm and cold water tubs and baths, which is resistant to chlorine.

Chlorine can be easily replaced with Crystasan water disinfectant. It will actively break down the chlorine through oxidation, and once this is complete, the product will take over.

Crystasan can provide testing strips to ensure the correct levels of the product are being administered, but applying the solution approximately every two weeks will maintain clean, clear water. For best results, maintain the dosing of the product rather than allowing the water to turn green and then apply as this will be more cost-effective. Approximate dose rates: apply 100 ml of the water treatment product per 100 litres of water.
